Van Cleef & Arpels has unveiled a new fragrance that “showcases a flower which is already popular with perfumers in a new light”—Moonlight Rose Eau de Parfum.

Although roses have inspired many olfactory works of art, the brand claims Moonlight Rose is like no other. Two varieties of roses combine to create the core of this composition: the Bulgarian Rose and the Taif Rose. What makes these unique roses individual and charming is the intense fragrance blend of floral, honeyed and spiced notes that they release.

“The idea behind the creation of this new fragrance was to pay homage to an extraordinary rose – the precious Taif Rose, which has a fragrance like no other,” explains perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin. “I combined it with a textured fruity Bulgarian rose and a particularly addictive Chypre base.”

About the Fragrance

Intense and heady, Moonlight Rose’s distinctive floral base is preceded by the freshness of pink peppercorn and essence of geranium, with almost mentholated accents. The honeyed, fruited and spiced accents of this rose duo contrast with a surprising base, where tart raspberry notes spice up an arrangement of patchouli and oakmoss.

The bottle and cap are simple, elegant and black.

Van Cleef & Arpels Moonlight Rose EDP is available now at Bergdorf Goodman and launching at Neiman Marcus in October.
